Course Objectives Students in this course; is aimed to learn about the characteristics and description of orthotics and prosthetics.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To be able to explain the purpose and features of orthosis
  • To be able to explain upper and lower extremity orthosis are used for different pathologies
  • To be able to explain the purpose and features of orthosis
  • To be able to list the types of orthosis
  • To be able to count the intended use of upper and lower extremity prosthetics.
Course Description This course includes; purpose of upper extremity orthosis, finger splints, hand – wrist splints, elbow splints, shoulder orthosis, lower extremity orthosis, spinal orthosis, lower extremity amputation levels, prosthetic feet, below-knee prosthetics, knee disarticulation prosthesis, hip disarticulation prosthesis, upper extremity amputation levels, upper extremity prosthesis.
